No press preview for Keith Richards book 'Life'

Keith_richards_life During his May 12 appearance on Jimmy Fallon's late-night talker to flog the expanded "Exile On Main Street" reissue, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards joked about writing his eagerly awaited autobiography. "I can't remember a thing," the notoriously profligate axe man said with a grin.

His publisher Little, Brown & Co. – which will issue Richards' "Life" on Oct. 26 – is apparently giving the musician as much time as it can muster to dredge up some recollections.

According to a publishing source, the tome, which Richards is penning with "White Mischief" author James Fox, will not be made available to reviewers in galley form before it reaches bookstores.

Publicists at Little, Brown did not respond to a query from SoundCheck.
